Rich is motivated by service—to his clients and to his community.  Rich’s practice is primarily health and safety law, focusing on defending public and private employers against workers’ compensation claims.  Rich is respected for his effective advocacy at hearings and trials and his commitment to achieving clients’ goals.   

As an Ohio State Bar Association Certified Specialist in Workers’ Compensation Law for the last two decades, Rich has advocated on behalf of employers at thousands of workers’ compensation hearings and in hundreds of workers’ compensation court cases throughout the state.  He has defended employers in discrimination suits in both state and federal courts.  His years of experience and in-depth knowledge about workers’ compensation makes him a valued resource for employers seeking to defend employment-related claims.  Rich is a proud member and past president of the Dublin-Worthington Rotary Club and enjoys its opportunities for leadership and service. 

Primary Focus & Experience

  • Workers’ Compensation:  Defends public and private employers in workers’ compensation hearings, appeals and lawsuits.   
  • Employment Law:  Defends boards of education in complaints before the Ohio Civil Rights Commission, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and other state agencies; represents clients in all aspects of employment law, from managing internal complaints and investigations, day to day human resources issues, and complex litigation.

I played on the Konstanz University (then West Germany) basketball team while studying in Europe and have annually run in the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Columbus Half Marathon since 2009.
